The Dash Community Poll is part of the Dash Contests Center and is dedicated to serving the Dash community. It enables creative input to be recognized, a voice to be heard and for the community to provide feedback on a wide variety of important Dash related questions, changes, suggestions and decisions.
This first poll, one of many to be conducted and archived here, has been requested by community members who would like to see the upcoming Dash Platform be branded with a more suitable or marketable name.

In June 2017, Dash creator Evan Duffield published the roadmap for Dash Evolution.
Now several years in the making, the largest upcoming and highly anticipated Evolution installment called Dash Platform is to be released. It allows for: human-readable usernames; a decentralized HTTP API; blockchain storage of data, and more.
Dash Platform is an application development platform that leverages the Dash masternode network and blockchain by transforming Dash’s peer-to-peer network into a decentralized cloud. It will create a frictionless developer experience with SDKs (Software Development Kits) to easily develop applications.

Towards the release of Dash Platform, members of the Dash community started a discussion around the name. Many believe that it deserves a name that emphasizes the groundbreaking innovations that this update will include.
The desire to change the name ‘Platform’ is further supported by the fact that the brand ‘Dash Platform’ already exists as a sports software company.
In the Contest Gallery below are names suggested by the Dash community.
The result of the poll will represent the opinion of the community and acts as a name proposal to Dash Core Group.

Please read corresponding motivations and consider rating all, or as many names as possible.

- 1 star; strongly dislike
- 2 stars; dislike
- 3 stars; impartial
- 4 stars; like or adheres to some of the criteria
- 5 stars; love or adheres to most of the criteria
Winner
The name with the highest number of stars (Sum, Σ), will be deemed the Dash community’s favorite name suggestion for Dash Platform.
